Romeo Constructions

A South West Sydney lead engine — built for the homeowners inside 50km of Liverpool, with creative sharp enough to be the targeting.

1

The play, in a sentence

In Meta's Advantage+ era, you don't target with checkboxes anymore — the creative IS the targeting. So we build ads that speak to one specific SW Sydney homeowner's exact problem, in their words, naming their suburbs — the right people raise their hand, the algorithm learns off them, and we turn that into free-quote enquiries that hit a CRM so Sam can call while they're hot.

The offer: a free, no-obligation on-site quote. Low-friction, exactly what a homeowner with a job in mind wants — and it puts Sam in the room, where he wins the work.

The zone & who's actually in it

Liverpool (2170) + ~50km covers the fastest-growing home corridor in the country: the Macarthur belt (Campbelltown, Camden, Narellan), the SW Growth Corridor (Oran Park, Leppington, Austral, Edmondson Park, Gregory Hills, Gledswood Hills), and the established family suburbs (Liverpool, Fairfield, Cabramatta, Bankstown).

Two money-segments — each with a pain we can name

Segment A

New-estate families

Just moved into a new build in Oran Park, Leppington, Camden, Edmondson Park — and the backyard is bare developer clay. They want a low-maintenance deck + alfresco to make it liveable and entertain the family.

Pain: "new house, dead backyard." → Decks & alfresco

In their words: "The backyard's just dirt since handover — the kids have nowhere to play."

⚡ Acts when: handover keys land · first summer's coming · kids have nowhere to play · the neighbour's yard gets finished.

Segment B

Established family homes

Fairfield, Liverpool, Cabramatta — strong multigenerational culture (71% of non-English-speaking households live multigen). They're outgrowing the house but don't want to leave the area or the family.

Pain: "outgrowing the house, don't want to move." → Extensions & granny flats

In their words: "We love this house, we don't want to move — we just need more space."

⚡ Acts when: a parent's moving in · the kids need their own space · adult kids can't move out · rather build than sell up.

The trust overlay on both: Sydney's in a documented dodgy-builder epidemic — the Building Commission issued hundreds of rectification orders in a single year. In growth corridors full of first-home buyers, the #1 fear is getting burned. "A builder who's licensed, insured and actually turns up" isn't a nice-to-have here — it's the whole decision.
3

Positioning & the creative approach

The message

"The SW Sydney builder who actually turns up — quality decks, extensions & renos, straight quotes, no dodgy business." Real, blue-collar, local. Sam is the brand — he's on camera, and he's a local who does it right.

Creative = targeting (why each ad is built for ONE segment)

We don't run one ad at "everyone." Each ad opens with a hook only its segment will react to — "new build, bare backyard?" vs "need more room for the family?" — so Meta's algorithm learns exactly who to keep showing it to. Naming real suburbs ("from Oran Park to Camden") spikes relevance + local trust. The trust angle rides through all of it.

Sam's unfair advantage: a real local tradesman who'll go on camera and does work worth showing. In a market terrified of cowboys, that authenticity is exactly what a polished corporate builder can't fake — and what homeowners are scanning for.
4

What the competition does — and the gap we own

We pulled the real live builder ads running right now in Meta's Ad Library plus how the whole category markets itself. The honest read is sharper than "nobody does this":

What's actually running

So where's Romeo's edge — honestly

The real takeaway: the winning angles aren't unclaimed — they're proven, just not in SW Sydney. That's better than a blank market: we already know face + runner-fear + local + no-BS pricing converts. Romeo's job is to run it hardest, in his own backyard, with his actual face — which is the one thing the competition literally cannot copy, because it's Sam.
5

What we lead with

Each gets its own landing page (getromeoconstructions.com/decks, /extensions, /granny-flats) so the ad and the page match — a decks ad never dumps someone on a generic homepage.

6

The funnel

Step 1Ad → a homeowner in the zone sees a hook about their exact problem, taps.
Step 2Landing page (matched to the ad) → one clear offer: free quote. 30-second form.
Step 3Lead lands in the CRM → tagged by service + suburb, flagged ad-sourced.
Step 4Instant alert to Sam — SMS + email the second it lands, tap-to-call number. Speed-to-lead wins the job.
Step 5Sam calls, quotes, wins → tracked New → Quoted → Won in the CRM.
Whole funnel's already built + live — landing page, CRM, instant SMS/email/push alert. The moment ads run, leads flow.
7

Meta targeting & campaign setup

Geo

Liverpool + 40km

Sam's confirmed service range — South West + Western Sydney: the SW growth corridor (Oran Park/Camden), out to Penrith, up to Parramatta, across to Hurstville / the St George. Broad — the segment creative + geo cutdowns keep each area relevant.

Audience

Broad + Advantage+

Homeowners ~30–60. No narrow interest stacking — we let the creative + algorithm find the buyers. The hook does the targeting.

Structure

1 campaign, ABO

Objective: Leads. The segment-specific ads run so we can see which pain + suburb converts cheapest, then pour budget there.

Budget

$30 → $50/day

Start ~$30/day for 1–2 weeks to learn cheap, scale to $50 once we know the real cost per quality enquiry.

How we judge it: on real quality enquiries in the CRM, not Meta's inflated lead count. Month 1 is a genuine learning sprint — we find Romeo's real cost-per-enquiry + the winning segment, then scale. High-ticket = fewer, higher-value enquiries (one deck ≈ $20–30k), so a $40–80 lead is cheap. No lead numbers promised until we know them.
8

The first ads — scripts & copy

Three scripts, one per angle. Each runs the same four beats — hook → body → pain point → CTA — kept short and plain, so a homeowner gets it on the first watch. Sam films each script, plus a couple of alternate hooks and CTAs, so we've got variants to test and scale the winners. All 9:16, Sam on camera.

The four beats: the hook calls out the exact person · the body is what Sam does about it · the pain point is what it's costing them right now · the CTA is the free quote. Short sentences, plain words — every script reads at a 5th-grade level, so it lands fast on a phone.
Segment A · New-estate deck

Script 1 — New build, dead backyard

Hook"Your new build's done. But the backyard's still just dirt."
Body"I'm Sam from Romeo Constructions, your local builder. We turn that dirt into a proper deck and outdoor space, right off the back of the house. Low-maintenance. No sanding, no oiling, ever."
Pain point"Right now the kids have nowhere to play. You walk mud through a brand-new house. And another summer slips by, wasted."
CTA"Get a free quote. Tap the link. I'll come measure up and give you a straight price."
Alt hooks to also film
  • "Got the keys? Got a backyard full of dirt?"
  • "The whole street's doing their yard. Not you yet."
  • "Had a decky take your deposit and vanish?"
FilmingSam on a finished deck AND on a bare new-estate block. Geo cutdowns: film the hook 3 ways, naming the area — SW ("Oran Park to Camden"), Penrith ("Penrith to St Marys"), St George ("Hurstville & the St George").

Segment B · Extension / granny flat

Script 2 — More room without moving

Hook"You love the house. You've just run out of room."
Body"I'm Sam from Romeo Constructions, a local builder. You don't have to move. We build extensions and granny flats out the back, each with its own front door. Room for the kids, or for Mum and Dad."
Pain point"Moving costs a fortune and pulls the family apart. Stay as you are, and you're stepping over each other for years."
CTA"Get a free quote. Tap the link, and I'll give you a call."
Alt hooks to also film
  • "Mum and Dad moving in? Let's build their space."
  • "Kids can't afford to move out?"
  • "Don't sell up. Build up. Stay."
FilmingSam to camera, at/near a finished extension or granny flat if you can. Warm, family tone. Geo cutdowns: film the hook naming each area — SW ("Liverpool & Fairfield"), Penrith, St George ("Hurstville & the St George").

Script 3 — The builder who won't vanish

Hook"Everyone round here knows someone whose builder took the money and ran."
Body"I'm Sam from Romeo Constructions, and I'm not that bloke. Fixed price up front. You pay in stages, so you're never out of pocket. I answer the phone. I turn up. I finish."
Pain point"Pick the wrong builder and you lose the deposit. The job sits half-done. And you're chasing him for months."
CTA"Get a free quote. Real price, real timeline. Tap the link."
Alt hooks to also film
  • "Deposit paid. Then he stopped answering. Not me."
  • "Sick of tradies who won't call you back?"
  • "I'm not the cheapest. Here's why that's good."
FilmingSam to camera, straight and confident — dead-on the lens, he means it. Cut with real job footage + the ute. This is the anchor; give it extra takes. Geo cutdowns: film a "South West and Western Sydney" version plus SW / Penrith / St George variants.
Meta primary text (example)Everyone knows someone whose builder took the money and ran. I'm Sam from Romeo Constructions — the opposite: fixed price, staged payments, and I answer the phone. Decks, extensions & renos across South West & Western Sydney. Free quote 👇

How we run it: we launch all three, plus the alternate hooks, and let ~$30–50/day show us which one homeowners bite on — by segment and suburb. Kill the losers, scale the winners, film more like them. The trust runs through all of it: fixed price, staged payments, we turn up. That's the one thing SW Sydney homeowners are really looking for.
